What You Get!

When you complete the Basic handgun Safety Course, you will possess the skills, knowledge and positive mental attitude to operate a firearm safely. If your personal or business situation dictates the necessity for you to have a Concealed Handgun Permit, you will need to demonstrate to the local courts your competence with a handgun. What better way to do so then to successfully complete the Basic Handgun Safety Course and use the Certificate of Completion as proof of competence! Continual practice is always encouraged to keep you skills honed and to further improve you shooting ability. We encourage you to bring along your family and friends to the shooting range for a fun time for all.

Course Description

The Basic Handgun Safety Course is approximately 8 ½ hours in length. The class is designed to provide the novice shooter with the skills, knowledge and self-confidence to safely own, maintain and shoot a handgun.

Responsibility entailed in owning and using a firearm.
Firearm Safety Rules
Basic parts recognition and operation of a handgun.
Selection of ammunition
Shooting fundamentals
Firearms and the law
Proper storage
Basic cleaning of the firearm.

Class Times

9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday or Sunday


(Excludes the cost of 100rds of ammunition to be used during class.)
